999 Emergency Information
For Heavy Bleeding, Severe Chest Pain or Unconsciousness... Dial 999... Ask for an Ambulance. While waiting for assistance...
- Remain calm... use a safe approach...look for hazards around you, do not put yourself in danger.
- Get a helper if possible - call for help from someone nearby
- Check patient responses... check airway and breathing.
- If there are no signs of life... tilt head back... give 30 chest compressions at regular intervals with the heel of the hand over the mid-chest area...give 2 breaths into the mouth keep repeating until help arrives.

When you call a trained receptionist will ask you:- Your telephone number.
- The name, address and date of birth of patient.
- The details of the illnesses and the name of the patient's GP.
A Doctor or Nurse will call you back. Keep your telephone line free.
Visits will only be made on medical grounds. You may be given a time to attend the base clinic. All calls are prioritised.

NHS DIRECT is on 0845 4647 is available for advice 24 hours a day.
The On Call Care service cannot deal with dental emergencies, only offer you advice for painkillers.
Minor Injuries Unit
This service is available at Sevenoaks Hospital and deals with cuts, grazes, fracture, sprains, bites, infected wounds.
